When you start a website, no matter if you have chosen a top business hosting package or a cheap website hosting package, you will find various website analysis tools in your web hosting admin panel. Website analysis tools, such as Awstats, are typically included in both business hosting and cheap website hosting packages and these tools are indeed good. However, if you want options when it comes to website analytics tools, here are some suggestions.

Google Analytics is most famous analytics software or program and it is 100% free for any website. If you are using this then you do not have to buy any commercial program for web analytics solution.

Alexa is remote analysis tool, so you do not have to install any code in your site. But you can get your website rank, bounce rate, page views, search rates, keywords etc.


Compete also tracks your site remotely and you do not have to install and code, however now you can install a code in your site, to get that code you have to login in compete. They provide pro services so you cannot get detailed statistics about site without pro they also provides ranking of your site as Alexa does. And most important it tracks only US visitors.

Comscore is also free but it does not give so many statistics for your site, it shows you US visitors but you can your visitors from all other counties even cities.

Piwik is an open source and Google Analytics alternative, but you have to install it on your own server.

It is also free and open source, and you can install it on your own server. To use it you have to install
Awstats . You can get it here.
